Australian Business Process Management (BPM) software vendor – Pulse Software – is pleased to announce two recent appointments to its senior team, to support the company’s continued growth.
Ken Donohoe joins Pulse as Chief Product Officer, while Matthew Burgess has been appointed Customer Engagement Manager.
As Chief Product Officer, Ken Donohoe will manage Pulse’s product strategy to ensure the features and functions of the platform continue to match the requirements of customers and support them to be competitive in their fields.
With over 20 years’ experience in local government industry, Ken most recently held the role of Product Director for Technology One, a major enterprise resource planning provider to local governments. His skills span project management, account management and product management.
“Having worked for Council as Manager for LIS and GIS, before tenures with software companies supporting the industry, I have been able to develop an in-depth understanding of the local government sector,” Ken said.
“I am looking forward to sharing this knowledge and working with the Pulse team to help research and develop new digital solutions that can transform the digital practices of our customers and enable them to better serve their internal and external stakeholders.”
Matthew Burgess, who will be based in Brisbane, joins Pulse as Client Engagement Manager and will be responsible for working directly with Pulse customers in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Matthew will be focused on providing these territories with innovative software solutions that can improve and simplify their day-to-day operations, helping them to perform better and grow bigger.
Matthew is a principled and results driven senior manager with over 20 years’ experience in senior management positions across a range of medium to large, privately owned and publicly listed software and consulting companies, including Oracle and Civica.
“I’m really excited to join the Pulse team and contribute to the continued growth and expansion of both the business and our customers into the future,” Matthew said.
“I’m most looking forward to being able to partner with our customers to get a real understanding of what makes them unique and help provide them with a digital experience that can best meet their needs. At the end of the day, our clients’ success is our success.”
Pulse Software Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Rajanayagam, said the leadership team was excited to have Ken and Matthew on board to help drive the organisation to achieve its growth strategy over the next five to 10 years.
“Pulse has grown rapidly over the last 10 years from a niche software developer of a single product for local councils to an enterprise software partner who now services over 123 local councils, as well as other government agencies and private sector customers across Australia,” Thomas said.
“Our goal is for further expansion in the local government sector, as well as consolidation across a range of other industries, including not-for-profits, engineering and construction, as well as education.
“The wealth of knowledge and experience that Ken and Matthew bring to the Pulse team, having both previously worked with some of the most influential organisations in the software solutions space, will be invaluable in contributing to the continued growth and success of Pulse Software and its customers into the future.”
Ken and Matthew’s appointments contribute to a 40% increase to the overall headcount of the organisation within the last 12-months, a testament to Pulse Software’s diversification into new industries and continued traction within the local government sector.
